Consumers sometimes face value issues but Tesla remains the technological choice in Lithuania
The recent debate in the world of electric vehicles goes beyond technical solutions and increasingly touches on geopolitics, values and public attitudes. There is also tension among car users in Lithuania when it comes to the public image of certain brands. And yet, in our country, decisions are often driven by rational arguments.
“Yes, we hear from customers – they care about what it means to choose one or another product or brand. But the reality is that you can’t replace an expensive electric car that easily. Lithuanian consumers tend to appreciate technology and long-lasting value”, says Egidijus Miškeliūnas, founder of the official TS Vilnius – Tesla Approved Body Shop.
Technology is more important than personalities
Despite the public debate about some aspects of the brand, Tesla’s popularity in Lithuania is on the rise, with registrations in the first quarter of 2025 up 18% compared to the same period last year. According to Miškeliūnas, this shows that consumers often make informed choices based on quality and technological superiority.
“The Lithuanian buyer is able to distinguish a product from other aspects associated with it. Tesla remains synonymous with extremely high engineering quality and efficiency. Even in the face of value challenges, the choice is often based on practical considerations and long-term benefits,” comments Miškeliūnas.
Values matter for business too
“We are an official Tesla-approved bodyshop and we declare our position very clearly – we support Ukraine’s struggle for freedom and oppose any aggression. For us, Tesla certification means the highest quality standards in the field of car repairs, but not political or ideological endorsement,” emphasises the head of TS Vilnius.
Quality is more important than noise
Until a few years ago, Lithuanian Tesla owners had nowhere to turn for manufacturer-approved body repairs. Today, the situation has changed – TS Vilnius offers a solution that meets global requirements.
“Becoming a certified centre is not a formality. It means that the manufacturer has checked everything from equipment to working methods. It is a daily commitment to work accurately, safely and with high quality,” says E. Miškeliūnas.
He says that customers value reliability and the desire to receive a service that meets the needs of their pace of life – quietly, safely and efficiently.
